Tower running is a sport which involves running up tall man-made structures. Usually the races take place on the internal staircases of skyscrapers, but the term can cover any foot race which involves a course that ascends a man-made structure.
Tower running races often take place at the world’s tallest structures, including Taipei 101 (Taipei), Menara Tower (Kuala Lumpur), Willis Tower (Chicago), CN Tower (Toronto), Eiffel Tower (Paris), Eureka Tower (Melbourne), Swissotel (Singapore), Tower 42 (London), the Empire State Building (New York), the Bitexco Financial Tower (Ho Chi Minh City), and the Colpatria Tower (Bogotá). Races are held in either time trial or mass-start format and attract elite athletes from various sports often with large sums of prize money.

He is best known as Jim Henson’s cartoonist. He created the “Muppets” comic strip (printed worldwide in 660-plus newspapers daily from 1981 to 1986), and was instrumental in Henson’s “Fraggle Rock,” and the creation of “The Muppet Babies.” Some of his iconic Muppets artwork was enshrined in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and his work was declared a National Treasure in 1984 by First Lady, Nancy Reagan. Throughout the years, Guy Gilchrist has set his hand to some of the most beloved, high-profile cartoons, such as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Looney Tunes,” “Tom & Jerry,” “Tiny Toons,” “The Pink Panther,” “Minnie Mouse,” and others.

“Eva Meets Dr Mac” is the first children’s picture book in our series of adventures, aimed at breaking down the barriers children and families face when given they hear the words that no family should ever have to hear, “childhood cancer”. Inspired by the real life story of our beautifully adored baby girl Eva’s own battle with childhood cancer, Eva Meets Dr Mac deals with this big battle in child-friendly, fun and adventure packed verse. This tale of sibling love in the midst of adversity is a must read for all families.
Tracy is a secondary school teacher who wrote and published a children’s picture book to help children and families to deal with the side effects of childhood cancer. This fun and adventurous story is based on the life of her adored niece Eva.
AgriKids is a farm safety educational platform for children. The social enterprise was founded with the ethos that we positively engage, educate and empower our children to become Farm Safety Ambassadors.
Kildare native, Alma Jordan departed the ‘Thoroughbred County’ for the ‘Royals’ in 2006. She now resides on a farm in Co. Meath, with her husband, Mark Delany and young son, Eamon.
Based in Julianstown, Mark is a full time farmer where the main enterprises consist of thoroughbred horses, tillage, beef cattle and more recently (and more of a hobby), poultry.
